FAQ's

Why should I get my vehicle regularly serviced?

Generally a vehicle should be serviced annually or every 10 000kms for DIESEL and every 15 000kms for PETROL vehicles.

Good quality car servicing is an important factor in maximizing the lifespan, efficiency and performance of your vehicle. It also helps towards the resale value of your vehicle, as well as being a key way to identify faults before they develop into more serious problems

I need some service work done but I have to be at work earlier than you open. What are my options?

You can make a special arrangement with reception. Request for an early morning check in on the day of service or you can bring your vehicle the day before.

How long will the repairs take?

Diagnostic times and Repair times vary based on the nature of the repair and / or parts availability.

We will keep you informed as to the status of your repairs and will notify you of any parts delays.

Regular & Major Services

Regular maintenance ensures longevity of major components of your vehicle. Mandatory maintenance items include filters and lubricants that have limited lifespan & therefore needs to be replaced every 10 000kms on Diesel and 15 000kms on Petrol vehicles OR every 12 months to limit costly repairs caused by excessive wear & tear.

Oil Filter

Is a filter designed to remove contaminants from engine oil, transmission oil, lubricating oil or hydraulic oil? Oil filters are used in many different types of hydraulic machinery. A chief use of the oil filter is in internal-combustion engines in on- and off-road motor vehicles, light aircraft, and various naval vessels.

Air Filter / Air Cleaner

Is a device composed of fibrous or porous materials which remove solid particulars such as dust, pollen, mould and bacteria from the air? Air filters are used in applications where air quality is important.

Fuel Filter

Is a filter in the fuel line that screens out dirt and rust particles from the fuel, normally made into cartridges containing a filter paper. They are found in most internal combustion engines. Unfiltered fuel may contain several kinds of contamination, such as paint chips and dirt that has been knocked into the tank while filling, or rust caused by moisture in a steel tank. Fuel filters also improve performance, as the fewer contaminants present in the fuel, the more efficiently it can be burnt.

Spark Plugs

Is a device for delivering electric current from an ignition system to the combustion chamber of a spark-ignition engine to ignite the compressed fuel/air mixture by an electric spark, while containing combustion pressure within the engine? It also maximizes your fuel economy.

Engine Oil

Engine oil & lubricant additives help with the lubricating of an engine but they now also work in assisting with a vehicles road performance. Because your engine is made up of a complex system of moving parts, this tends to cause a lot of friction & wear & tear to the engine. By taking care of your engine with the right motor oils & lubricants, you help reduce the adverse effects that this would have on the engine.

Pollen Filter

Helps to protect your vehicle’s interior, by filtering any air flowing into the vehicle through the air vents, trapping particles such as pollen, dust, bacteria, and exhaust gases that may try to find their way into a vehicle’s ventilation system. A pollen filter helps to make your car an altogether fresher & healthier place.

Timing Belt / Cam Bel

It is a major component in the engine and needs to be replaced as per manufacturers’ service intervals. The failure of this component translates into damage of various components which can be very costly.

Auto Electrical

Auto Electrical includes wiring/circuits/charging & starting system /mirrors & windows & lights) A Dead battery /starter or alternator could be symptoms that your vehicles’ electrical system is problematic.

Drive Train

The Drive Train connects your vehicle‘s engine to the wheels & supplies power to move forward. These forces are subject to excessive forces as modern vehicles have increased power & torque which causes component failures due to wear & tear.
